Centurylink Disorganized And Fraudulent Advertising

What is wrong with Centurylink? After terminating internet service within a "30 Day Money Back Guarantee" we have had no such guarantee. We terminated the service within the specified time frame, followed every single term and condition of the guarantee (the fine print) and followed up directly with CenturyLink several times before they convinced and told us that our internet service was cancelled and that there would be absolutely no charges (as per following the money back guarantee, including the fine print). After being reassured this more then once by Centurylink representatives, and following all guidelines, terms, conditions, and fine print of the "Money Back Guarantee" (I am a Compliance Specialist for a corporation so I'm great at reading the fine print and following it), we surprisingly received a collection notice from a collection agency saying we had unpaid charges of $50.13 to Centurylink. I am absolutely dumbfounded at the lack of intelligence, logistics, and organization of Centurylink. I can't see Centurylink being in business within the next decade. I never thought Comcast/Xfinity could look so Angelic and great. #Centurylink #dumbfounded #harassed #bully #corporatebully #comcast #xfinity

Do you have proof you dont owe? Then it would seem a simple matter.

I do. I've saved every bit of documentation including confirmation messages, emails, chats, and tracking numbers for returned equipment. I just got off an online chat session with a CenturyLink agent who was able to verify that the account was supposed to have been credited back for all charges, thereby zeroing out any balance. However, she was unable to do anything about it except for refer me to another department that isn't open until Monday- so I can start the whole cycle over again.

Ya.. if it made its way to collections, the regular agents cant do any thing..

Yep. That is all the more reason it has been so upsetting is that centurylink sent no warning that something was about to go to collections. No phone call, email, or letter.

I was so upset that I managed to find the direct email address of their CEO Glen Post. I hope that at least his assistant reads it. I heard of someone else on hear that had continuing issues with CL and they finally managed to email the CEO and by the next day he said it was straightened out .
