Adios Dodge Avenger. Dodge Ram EcoDiesel.

Dodge Avenger Finally Dies

According to The Truth About Cars, sales of the Avenger will finish before the end of the 2014. Chrysler has previously said that it it wants to move away from having sister vehicles at more than one brand to reduce model overlap, and now that the 200 has been refreshed, it’s time for the Avenger to go.

2014 Ram EcoDiesel Gets 28 MPG, Sets Benchmark

Chrysler’s Ram pickup trucks took a big risk when they jumped to and eight-speed automatic transmission to boost fuel economy, but the new diesel is setting a new industry benchmark.

The company announced today that its diesel half-ton will return up to 28 mpg during highway driving or 23 on average between city and highway speeds. Last year, Ram grabbed the segment’s fuel miser title with its V6-equipped 1500 pickup, which returns 25 mpg on the highway, a rating that remains the same for this year.

I don't have an opinion on the Avenger other that that I think a reduction in inventory might be a good thing.

As for the Ram, finally the 1500 is getting some diesel "love". Be interesting to see how this works out over the years.
Is a person a failure for doing nothing? Or is he a failure for trying, and not succeeding at what he is attempting to do? What did you fail at today?.
