Playing Videos on PS3 from WD MyBook Live

I'm trying to steam movies from my WD MyBook Live but all I see on my PS3 in the media server is a Twonky folder with WD letters on it. When I try to open it I get No files Found I have no problem steaming with the PS3 Media Server using my Imac and the WD MyBook but the thing is I lose connection when the Imac goes to sleep so what I'm trying to do is bypassing the Imac and steam right off MyBook Live HD

If you're trying to watch video on the PS3, you should be able to go to Videos in the XMB, press triangle and then select display all. One way to bypass this is to put all the movies in a folder labeled "VIDEO".

Of course, the video files do need to be in a format that the PS3 can play. If they're other than the following, the PS3 can't play them:

Memory Stick Video Format
- MPEG-4 SP (AAC LC)
- H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile (AAC LC)
- MPEG-2 TS(H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, AAC LC)
MP4 file format
- H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile (AAC LC)
MPEG-1 (MPEG Audio Layer 2)
MPEG-2 PS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2, AAC LC, AC3(Dolby Digital), LPCM)
MPEG-2 TS(MPEG2 Audio Layer 2, AC3(Dolby Digital), AAC LC)
MPEG-2 TS(H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, AAC LC)
AVI
- Motion JPEG (Linear PCM)
- Motion JPEG (-Law)
AVCHD (.m2ts / .mts)
DivX
WMV
- VC-1(WMA Standard V2)

Also make sure to have DLNA turned on.
