[Signals] Upstream power and splitter

Hi,

I have a 2-way splitter installed for TV and cable modem use.
My Motorola SB6141 upstream power is 47-49 on 3 channels, and a constant 50 on the fourth channel. Downstream SNR and power good on all 8 channels.
Is that a concern? Do you recommend installing a high quality splitter instead of the currently installed one by Comcast?

Thanks
Daniel

[Signals] Re: Upstream power and splitter

In my area when I saw an upstream of about 50 I started having connection issues. I would change your setup somehow to improve your signal.

Generally, Comcast uses high-quality splitters, so unless there's some problem with it, the issue may be in your cabling or connections (though you say your downstream signal levels and SNRs are OK).

So if not that, then it may be an issue with your drop or the tap off of Comcast's line.
