[Connectivity] speed issues

ok question. i have windstream service. connection is fine when modem does auth/or computer does auth. how ever when i use routing and remote access and setup via demand-dial interface it make's me loose 3/4 of connection. what could cause this. bad metric on demand-dial interface or what. help would be much apreachated i use windows server 2008, which does ad,dhs,dhcp

Don't do this, if you're using RRAS, you're using the USB interface as an emulated NIC. Not to mention this is a fairly horrific way (no offense intended) on handling PPPoE. This has nothing to do with OSPF/metric/routing cost, this is hammer nails with a rock.

USB interface? every thing is being done via ethernet so not sure how usb come's into play. modem is in bridge mode with demand-dial doing the pppoe auth. please explain.

I apologize, I misunderstood the way you were generating your PPPoE connection, thanks for the clarification. Could be an improperly sized MTU and/or no MSS clamping/PMTUD enabled?

i am guessing maby windstream oversold in my area because as of right now the connection is running at proper speed with nothing changed.
