Cable service keeps going outI currently have cable/internet/phone with WOW. They have always been fair with me and I always sing their praises, however for the last two weeks my cable has repeatedly gone out. I've had six separate visits from 5 different cable technicians, 2 new media players, 4 different gateways, a new cable line install and placed an abundance of phone calls. Each time the cable goes out I get an error message that says 'searching for media gateway'or 'no media gateway found'. If I reboot the gateway, it will come back on for about a half hour before the error message comes back and the cable goes out again. After trouble shooting they thought the problem was an ethernet cable that I had plugged into my blue ray DVD player to the gateway since there was a splice in the cable with coupler connecting the two cables together. However after removing it the cable TV still went out this evening. Internet and phone work, but no cable. At this point I am stressed out and tired of these issues. I have yet another tech coming out tomorrow, but at this point I don't know what else they can do. Has anyone out there had an issue like this ? Can anyone help or offer any suggestions ? |
