[Voip.ms] Can I force a VOIP.MS queue to make a ringing sound for callers?

On VOIP.MS, I want each inbound call to ring a particular subaccount
for 30 seconds before the call goes to an IVR. I can do this quite
nicely with a queue, but during the 30-second wait, VOIP.MS's only
available audio for the caller to hear is apparently Smooth Jazz (the
queue default). I want the caller to hear ringing instead during the
30 seconds, not the jazz.

In a VOIP.MS queue, is there some workaround that would provide
ringing for the caller to hear instead of Smooth Jazz?

In my experience, no.

The Voip.ms MOH smooth jazz program happens to be pretty good. (I actually have a customer who calls one phone from another, puts the call on hold on one phone and activates the speaker on the other just to listen to Voip.ms MOH.) However, smooth jazz is not always appropriate in all situations. I have requested many times over the years to have the option of using our own uploaded recordings for MOH (in addition to the smooth jazz program), including (and especially) on the queues. One of those recordings could be a recording of a ringing phone, which would serve the purpose just fine. So far no response to my suggestion. Likely this request is minor compared to other more pressing needs. It would be nice though if perhaps one day they could take a look at such an option.
