Ok, not sure if I'm in the right Forum. I recently upgraded my dsl speed to 8mb.
In the evenings and weekends my speeds have been horrible! Can barely steam Hulu except on lowest setting.
Now this weekend I wanted to watch a movie on Vudu so I tested the speed on their speed test and I was getting the speeds I was supposed to and I could stream HDX. I don't understand why that is.
Is there something I'm missing, I'm not real familiar with networking but familiar enough.
Evenings and weekends, high internet traffic = degraded speeds. The internet capacity has not grown with the amount of traffic being used for movies and other high usage programs being streamed.
Increased internet speeds = isp capacity = price
My price for 7 mbs is too high.
The US has the worst internet because we killed regulation and Comcast, CL and the rest have really screwed us.
Vudu works better for me than Netflix in the evenings too.
100% agree. My Vudu pegs the speed test scale thus allowing me to stream HDX without any buffering but I can barely stream Netflix..very grainy picture.
