This is the "Free Market" in action......and yet those who yell loudly about how regulations kill said Free Market are the first ones to complain about it happening.
Seriously. There is a demand for a product, it is not being supplied directly, so those demanding it find their own way to get it. This is precisely how the market is supposed to work. Piracy, as well, is part of the free market.
Licensing restrictions, regional lockouts, etc (all things demanded by and put in place for the broadcasters/content providers) are just as restrictive to the free market as any government regulations are, if not worse. |
