[Config] Cisco 1921 with EHWIC-VA-DSL (VDSL2 Movistar Spain)Hello all, Recently, I've bought a new Cisco 1921 with VDSL2 Card. I'm in Spain. I've problem with the connection With Movistar. The Line synchronize but not run.
I've a Static IP, but it is Pseudo Static, it is In the router Ip address is configured automatic, but Movistar ISP give me always same IP address.
I've bought the new Cisco 1921, because actual Router Zyxel don't support all connections, because in the company are about 80 employers.
Here copy the actual config:

Please, Could you help me? I'm with this problem 2 week.
I hope your request! Thanks you in advanced. |

Is the DSL PPPoE or PPPoA? Not sure why you have two IP NAT Outside interfaces? Also I'm not sure I'd use a VLAN outside of the range of 2-1001 on Cisco gear unless you have taken steps to allow it on the switch, assuming it's a Cisco switch downstream. |

There are many questions only the ISP can answer. The reason for the vlan is the VDSL line may be vlan tagged. It's not an ATM circuit, so I'm questioning the use of pppoe at all, but who knows with an ISP in Spain. |

Hello Markysharkey, The DSL is PPPOE. I'm with this problem 2 week and I've try a lot of configurations. Please, can you copy me the config whath you think it's correct?
Cramer, ISP don't help me, I've called a few times but ISP doesn't help me never. I think, in Spain, ISP use in int Dialer PAP/CHAP...
Could you copy me a config example..?
Thank you very much! |

Those FAQ are for ADSL and external modem. Here is one for integrated VDSL modem » [Config] Cisco 1921 and HWIC-1VDSLRegardless, PPPoE is PPPoE (layer 2); it does not care what layer-1 looked like (ADSL, VDSL, or else). With that in mind, any PPPoE discussion is still relevant. |

said by markysharkey:Also I'm not sure I'd use a VLAN outside of the range of 2-1001 on Cisco gear unless you have taken steps to allow it on the switch The VDSL modem presents as an Ethernet interface in addition to an ATM interface, and PPPoE needs to be configured within the correct VLAN to work. |

The Dialer1 interface is not in any way tied to the ATM interface, so nothing will ever work. Here in the US, my ADSL circuit uses a PVC of 0/35, and will need a configuration to tie this pvc to the dialer. interface ATM0/0/0 no ip address no atm ilmi-keepalive ! hold-queue 224 in ! interface ATM0/0/0.1 point-to-point pvc 0/35 pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1 !
If you don't use a PVC, just tie the dialer to the ATM interface. |

The OP appears to have been configuring a VDSL2 connection, not ADSL. This doesn't use the ATM interface, but the Ethernet0/0/0 interface. Dialer1 is correctly linked to an Ethernet subinterface in the above config. With the EHWIC card being used, the ATM interface should be shutdown for a VDSL2 configuration. |

Thanks. I thought that was a VLAN interface at first. |
