[Info] Does the Cisco 2100 Cable Modem Support IPv6?
TWC in my area has or should soon have IPv6 rolled out. They recently sent me a Cisco 2100 to replace my older cable modem. Does this model support IPv6? Do I have to get a router that supports IPv6 natively in order to have my clients obtain v6 addresses? Currently I have an Encore ENHWI-2AN4 router that has no visible gui support for v6 addressing. Thanks for your help.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say "no," as the datasheets for the DPC2100 list DOCSIS 2.0 compatibility... IIRC DOCSIS 2.0+ and 3.0 add support for IPv6.
