PSA for everyone: EA Origin Phishing Attack (please read)From: » www.reddit.com/r/battlef ··· _origin/
I started getting these links yesterday form someone on my Origins list. Those that clicked it got there Origins account hacked. One of them is now working with EA to get $600 worth of purchases removed for his account. If you get a message like the one above DO NOT CLICK IT. |

Thanks for posting this, I'm pretty much on top of phishing scams but it's good to be reminded.

The easiest way to identify those fake links is to look where the actual ".com/" ends before clicking on anything random, like the above one, they will have a lot of .com.blah.blah.blah.com at the end. |

Yep, many people are impatient or sometimes expect the super long links.. |

Those that clicked it AND logged into the fake origins website got their accounts hacked, or simply clicking it was enough?
I'd be impressed if all it required was going to the link without having to submit any information. |

The message was delivered over Origin, so I am not sure if the malware is good enough to get at a stored password in the application's cache or in the OS. |
