How do all these interface changes affect Appearance themes? Will everything be moved around there, too? (I use Nautipolis). Or does this really only affect the default theme, and maybe some of the menus?

Oh, just playing

• NEW - A set of new improvements to the Firefox user interface (Australis)

IOW, more changes that we don't want, that will make the browser harder to use.

• NEW - An interactive onboarding tour to guide users through new changes

IOW, take what was intuitive, that all knew how to use, change it around into a mess, then say, "HERE IS THE MANUAL, READ IT!".

• NEW - A redesigned and improved customization mode

IOW, remove functionality.

• NEW - The ability to set up Firefox Sync by creating a Firefox account

IOW, we are the borg!

• NEW - Gamepad API finalized and enabled (learn more)

IOW, I'll now be able to get more work done while at work.

• CHANGED - navigator.plugins is no longer enumerable, for user privacy

Oh, give me a break! I'll create a FF "account", & I'm supposed to worry about the privacy implications of having navigator.plugins enumerable!

• DEVELOPER - Add-on bar has been removed, content moved to navigation bar

IOW, now I have to use yet another extension, to return yet more functionality that has been removed.

> Unresolved - Text Rendering Issues on Windows

For well over a year! That's not to say that they're not trying to get things fixed, but...

> Nautipolis

Is nice

Pale Moon is just a imitation of FF. Why the excitement? When Version 29 of FF is issued they will just follow suit.

Does the About Firefox dialog indicate which beta release you have installed? I don't think mine is updating even though the dialog says I'm on the beta update channel. It checks and says I'm up to date with "29.0"... just wondering if it should say something like 29.0b3?

Doesn't that say it all, "20100101" .
Don't you love "magic" dates!

What does about:buildconfig say?

Does that say it all, "Built from »hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-···0d30601" .
Don't you just luv ... ah, well.

In any case, no, you're not going to find it from about:.

My 'b2' (I suppose that's what the above is telling me) also says there are no updates.
(Though a 'b3' is certainly up on ftp: /releases/.)

No it doesn't show on "About". For beta build, go through Troubleshooting > about:buildconfig > built from...

I have it installed. But, since I have no problems with the latest FF, I find no difference. Its based on the same OS and, probably leaner, underneath. However I can't tell any difference in looks. To me its exactly similar. Not denigrating it just my opinion.
Plus some plugins don't work.

Which ones? I've yet to encounter any problems with plugins. It would be interesting to know which ones - and why.

Can't update my Logitech Harmony. Have no idea why. Cannot use it to install themes on my WD Live Streaming Media. Will not accept media player ISP Number.

Its a good browser but I don't find any radical difference to FF. The only problem I have with FF is the Adobe Flash script stops working on some sites and a warning appears. Otherwise I don't find any pressing need to switch.

Actually I'm using 29 Beta as my main Browser and its quite good. No problems thus far.All my plug ins and Extensions work.
