Okay First the MLB Network..now the YES Network?I was watching Fox Sports tonight and saw an alert that on April 1, Metrocast may be removing YES from their lineup. It's bad enough that they already removed the MLB Network, but as a Yankees fan, if they now remove the YES network, I'll be done w/ Metrocast. I don't know if I'll go DirectTV or cordless, but as a major baseball fan, my baseball availability is KEY in my choices for cable. So please Metrocast , if any of you are monitoring here, get yourself together, or I'm out. Edit:// Apparently Viacom channels are being lost too. According to » keepviacom.com/ at least. Edit2:// Looks like they made a deal w/ Viacom but not YES |

I just signed up with DirecTv again. They are so hard to beat on price and quality. I like the internet services from Metrocast but their TV packages are not great and their TV boxes are horrible. |

The only thing I am going to be upset w/ about dropping cable for DirecTV is I bought a Tivo XL4 only a year ago, and its not compatible with Satellite. |

You can usually re-sell your Tivo pretty easy though on eBay. I sold mine when I went to DTV |

Re: Okay First the MLB Network..now the YES Network? (Edit: And VIACOM?!)Yeah, I'm dropping MetroCast if there is no YES tomorrow. Does DirecTV seem to be the best alternative? |

I would have had it installed tomorrow but I need to clear all the paperwork w/ my apt complex first. And YES is dark on my screen. So, its gone. |

IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE: Monday evening, March 31, MetroCast reached an agreement with Viacom that allows for the continued carriage of the Viacom networks on our channel lineups. We appreciate your understanding as we worked through this negotiation.

Re: Okay First the MLB Network..now the YES Network?I have no use for AT&T so I am happy to see they are selling their land lines to Frontier thus if you get Uveres you will not have it for long. |

AT&T doesn't have Uverse close to NE CT, so even though you get the fliers in the mail, etc that state Uverse it's not what you think. The are branding their Elite 6mbps DSL as Uverse now. |

Re: Okay First the MLB Network..now the YES Network? (Edit: And VIACOM?!)Dropped off my cable boxes Friday morning, glad to get them out. There just is no comparison between DirecTv and Metrocast, DirecTv runs circles around Metrocast TV. What even surprised me was in the office where I dropped the boxes off they have a hi def TV on the wall in the lobby. The picture in their own office looked horrible. |

Lucky! I can't go through DirecTV directly unfortunately, I have to go through Access Media 3 who will provide me DirecTV (they have a contract to do the hardware in my apt complex) , and its been an absolute horror show. I THINK ill finally have my DirecTV installed Wednesday, a week and a half since I first signed up.
On a positive note, I've gotten $200 in refunds from them for the installation delays so far. |

Wow, that is a royal pain although the $200 in refunds is nice. |
