[General] can't find the server

Mac user, Safari browser. Just returned to stand-alone DSL (after briefly trying 4G -- too expensive) and have frequently experienced various websites not opening and get the message Safari can't find the server, then the site url. First time I've had this problem with standalone.

It is likely a DNS issue. Are you using a ZyXEL Modem in Router Mode? If yes, then setup new DNS in the ZyXEL Modem on the DHCP Setup tab in the DNS Server section (found under Network > LAN > DHCP Setup) and any computer (MAC or PC) and any Console (X-Box1, X-Box360, PS2, PS3, or PS4) will get the new DNS automatically from the Modem and no longer use the flakey Earthlink DNS.

Thank you! It's been doing okay today, but I'll follow your suggestion.
