Now officially the longest game in Blue Jays history, both in innings played and time. |

Warming up Dickey. Insane. And the longest game in franchise history. What a wonderful Sunday it's been |

Longest game in franchise history. The tie run in the ninth inning feels like it was a whole different game. Oh wait, it was haha. |

And boy do they need to win in Seattle. Tied with the Mariners 1.5 GB of Kansas City (Really? KC?) for the last wildcard spot. That stretch of losing 3 in Houston and 2 against Baltimore was disastrous. |

They need to stay close. They have 6 against the O's in late September |

No surprise that they got smoked last night... I didn't even bother watching. Best pitcher in the league vs a tired team. |

Comparing between sports is just plain stupid. They all have their challenges, both physical and mental, and no matter what you are doing -- whether it's collecting trash or playing pro sports, a full day/shift takes it's toll on you.
Work your full shift. Think you're done for the day? Nope. Work another full shift. Now hop a plane to the other side of the continent -- later than planned because of the extra shift, so it's more difficult to adjust to the time change, and then do another full shift the next day. That is going to be hard on anyone, and performance is going to suffer. |

Yeah the division is a pipe dream IMO, the Orioles are in a bigtime groove, they haven't lost two games in a row since June 29.
Jays are losing 2 games in a row all the time it seems. No way you're gonna catch up. |

Agreed, only hope now is the second wild card at this point, I don't see them catching the Angels either. |

Well they officially suck right now...............watched Baltimore come back and beat the Yanks. They don't look like they're going to lose this year. |

Yup, I'm losing hope. It just highlights that our hitting is not where it needs to be...they scored 4 runs in three games. You won't win many games with that kind of production, regardless of your pitching. The jays have the majority of their top lineup now (their bottom is still patchwork) and still aren't producing consistently. |

The further this team sinks the worse it looks for Alex Anthopolous, for not doing ANYTHING at the deadline... |

I figured that this was just another case of Toronto sports teams doing what they do every year |

It's the case of every Toronto sports team having ownership that only cares about dividends for shareholders rather than actually winning a championship.
Though, even now, I still think the Jays this year had something special that could have produced. It was just never nurtured the way it should have been. |

Yep and you can pretty much guarantee that they will lose Cabrera and Jannsen to free agency and in a couple years Bautista and EE because they had a decent team but had no depth and the corporate monster refused to spend a few more bucks. |
