Re: Slow Service

Trying to resolve the OVH latency to Europe.

We're unable to route around it at this point, looking at their network map they appear to have major congestion as well in NY

OVH has facilities in Canada - if you route to their Canada facility, do they have internal network links to their EU facilities?

[edit]: Sorry if the net map makes that a stupid question, it doesnt load for me.

Last news we have is that a majority of the fibres have been spliced but they are still at it.

Wow....

Know I want to know how such a large number of strands was cut. I hope it gets jacketed in thick steel from now on!

That strand count is fairly standard nothing unusual.

Biggest hurdle they had was that a fairly large section had to be replaced so they had to splice it from both ends.

Good to know. Thanks for the update! Might want to update the outages page if that's the case.

Doesn't TekSavvy have peering @ TorIX?

Peering doesn't help for routing issues...

Yes we peer @ TorIX, and yes peering helps with routing issues.

Isn't one of the main reasons for peering for redundancy by reducing dependence on one or more transit providers? Yes, so that does help routing issues.

I'm still experiencing slow internet across all sites. Should I open a ticket or is there still a known problem?

This is my first time posting on this forum so I hope I'm doing this right.

I have been experiencing tremendous lag issues with my DSL internet with TSI for the past few days. From what I've read in these forums, it seems that TSI is changing some wires (I hope I read right don't mean to sound foolish ).

Could you please let me know when this lag will end? I live in Richmond Hill, ON. Thanks a bunch.

Hello,

Thanks for joining. As of right now, that mass-outage is all fixed and there should be no lingering issues from it.

My suggestion is to check our outage page first: »help.teksavvy.com/hc/en- ··· k-Status to see if anything is listed. In your case, there is nothing so best thing to do is to either call in for support or open a ticket in the Direct forum so we can take a better look:

Cheers,
