how to show .mp4 to visitors?

I have many Android made .mp4

I put them on my 1and1 shared linux hosting ... ( »www.1and1.com/linux-web- ··· xhosting )

what's a good way to play back .mp4 files to site visitors?

some player I can use?

maybe I can do something like on »www.wimp.com/musicianscompete/ ?

or maybe I can have some script auto upload them to some video host - like youTube?

any ideas .. any advice .. very welcome ..

thank you ..

Put them on youtube. Otherwise you'd have to use an html5 player with flash backup and 3 encoding formats, as the major browser vendors don't want to agree upon a common standard.

If those MP4s use the h.264 codec, you can probably just link directly do them. Most browsers by now can playback h.264 natively, without plugin...
...but there are exceptions (i.e. older versions) so if you want 100%, yes, YouTube (or Vimeo, or whatever) is better. But for most, native in-browser playback should work fine these days.
