My steps lasted the winter!

A follow-up to my thread back in the fall: »[Masonry] Pouring concrete steps

My steps survived the winter! And an exceptionally cold winter too. No cracks and no shifting, even though my lawn shifted quite a bit this winter.

The only bad thing is that much (though not all) of the brushed finish has worn off, and you can see the aggregate. I'm pretty sure I worked it too much. I remember thinking as I was trowelling it, "I'm working this too much". But here we are. I might parge it all when we get around to re-parging the foundation.

But these steps sure aren't going anywhere!

Nice, now you just have to parge the foundation along the steps and paint it.
