[WIN8] Won't stay in sleep modeEvery time I put my system in to 'sleep' mode it will come back on by itself. I have told Windows not to wake PC from the keyboard/mouse and I disabled Intel smart connect and it still does it. How can I make it stay in sleep mode? |

do you have any other external devices connected to it? |
Nope, just keyboard, mouse, speakers, and monitor. |

Is it wireless keyboard/mouse? Those cheap RF adaptors are notorious for instantly waking after sleeping.
Open a command window and type "powercfg -lastwake" right after it wakes. It should tell you what woke it up.
Have you disabled wake for all the USB hubs in device manager? |
They are USB and I guess wake is disabled on the USB hubs because they are all greyed out, I can't seem to get to the tick box. |

Should I look for updated chipset drivers from Intel? All the chipset drivers and USB drivers say (Microsoft Corporation). |

Do you have a network cable plugged in and if so, is wake on lan enabled in the BIOS? If so, disable wake on lan. |
That might be it because when I booted the laptop and it connected to the WiFi, my desktop came out of sleep.
Hah! It is 'Wake On LAN' to. |

Okay, no we can say this has been solved, case closed. |

Keep an eye on it because Wake On LAN is only supposed to apply to ethernet connected computers, not wireless. |

Disconnect everything you can and see if the problem goes away. If no, then disable everything you can until the problem goes away. |
