[Equip] how long does buried RG11 last, in general?

assuming it isn't cut.

If it isn't directly exposed to UV and nothing happens to it, probably a few decades or more. I still have working RG-59 wired in my home from the 1970's, but I'm not using it (I'm using RG/6 now).

It all depends on how much water is in the conduit. Part of the reason for me dropping cable service when @home went broke was that Comcast didn't replace/renew buried cable that was in constant contact with water during the rainy season in the California Bay Area. Wet cable just didn't work and took forever to dry out if it was buried.

Coax cable is covered with a continuous plastic jacket and is impervious to water unless damaged or it's allowed in at the ends.

i would think that coating could eventually corrode and let water in, no?

Plastic doesn't really corrode.

Quite a bit of cable in conduit winds up in water much of the time. Never seen it cause a problem unless the cable was damaged.

Not sure how long RG11 will last but I know My RG6 burial lasted at least 20+ years before my ISP decided to bring it up to code with RG11.

I was still pulling a 39/40 db SNR from it too.
