Time Warner Cable - Legacy → [Internet] SB6850 wifi or stand alone router?

Hey all, I have the ultimate 50 tier which allows my sb6850 to be my wifi connection. I have been using a standalone netgear wnr3500L router until now. Should I go ahead and keep using it,or is the 6850 pretty good? I'm thinking of buying a new one, but waiting to see if my apt gets Google fiber.

Keep using the router, a lot of people here don't like the modem/router combos, my self included

haha I wish I lived in KC, I've been a loyal TW customer since road runner came out in 1999, but I would drop them for fiber :/
