Comcast XFINITY TV → [Content] Comcast to drop Weather Scan 6/12/14

My current bill dated 4/23/14 notes, "Effective 6/12/14, Weather Scan will no longer be available on Channel 131 in Digital Preferred Package."

I'm not sure if this means it will be totally unavailable regardless of a higher tier TV package in Colorado Springs.

To me this is bad news since local weather information, including oncoming bad weather, is presented in a continuous play available 24 hours per day. This is much better than Local on the 8's on the Weather Channel.

If anyone from Comcast is reading this please try to encourage those in command to reverse this programming change.

Thank you for your post and feedback, I will be sure to pass this along, and yes we have very recently launched the localized Weather on the 8's in HD for Colorado Springs, but I will make sure to pass along your preference of a 24 hour weather station, we are always listening and working toward customer satisfaction, needs, and requests!
