Makes me very glad

that I'm NOT a Comcast customer, for sure!

This would tick me off big time. Luckily, you can disable this, but still, what Joe Blow is going to know anything about it?

Here is a thought...dump the Comcast modem you are leasing and get your own! No Comcast guest wifi.

How can this possibly "tick you off big time"? I feel this should be non-existent on anyones list of shit to give a damn about. This has 0 negative impact on anyone or anything.

Re: Makes me very glad

Getting a free tap and 80% of the gross revenue would be an impact I would consider.

You know? Why let Comcast have all the fun? It's not like they are being all hippie and such handing out world hugging free Wi-Fi.

You might want to have a look at this:

»consumerist.com/2014/05/ ··· -access/
quote:
“At the end of 2014, Comcast will be implementing a monthly $6 fee for WiFi hotspot access outside of your home… All XFINITY Internet subscribers will be charged this fee — you cannot opt out even if you do not currently use hotspots.”
Enjoy!
