I have a D-Link DSL-2750B, so I don't think I can give transceiver stats. At least, I haven't found it, and can't find anyone on the net that has.
I am paying for 3Mbps down, and was getting that speed until a couple weeks ago. When I connected at the correct speed, Speedtest, was showing about 2.8 Mbps. Then suddenly it dropped to 1.8, and then again to 1.5. Earlier today it jumped up to 2.1, and is currently 2.5 Mbps. Atm speedtest is giving me about 2.1 Mpbs, which is within the margin, but for the wrong speed.
EDIT: I plugged up my old modem again to test, and I am getting the same speeds.
Here are the stats, Transceiver Revision: 7.2.3.0 Vendor ID Code: 4 Line Mode: G.DMT Mode Data Path: Interleaved Transceiver Information Downstream Path Upstream Path DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 2528 864 Margin (dB) 25.0 10.0 Line Attenuation (dB) 39.5 20.0 Transmit Power (dBm) 17.5 11.9 |

I can't offer a solution to your problem, but I share your pain.
My Verizon DSL has been steady at 2.75Mbps down (synced at 3.3Mbps) for years. For about a month now the sync has gone down to 2.4Mbps, and speed tests of 1.8 to 2.2Mbps. Very frustrating. I also switched out modems with the same speed results. Line stats are just as good as they were when I was getting 2.75Mbps.
It really has me thinking hard about switching to Time Warner, my only other real option. The speed I was getting with my DSL was fine for me, and I don't want to spend the extra $$ with Time Warner for speed I don't need.
I am a heavy Netflix user, and the speed I'm getting now just doesn't cut it. |
