Mikrotik randomly dropping LAN connectionsHello, I recently replaced my rb750 with a rb2011 for more ports. This router will randomly drop all ethernet connections, but will stay powered up (all connected lights blinking simultaneously)...I thought at first is was just the gig ports causing it, so I moved all equipment to the fast-ethernet ports. Still doing it, has happened 2x today. I have the latest firmware on it (I tried that as well).
I am running 4 point-to-point links on this unit,as well as a legacy Canopy network. It is busy, but I have never seen it exceed 50% on CPU load. The 750 never had this problems, it was rock solid.
Anyone seen this? There are no errors on any of the ports. I have the 1000half and 1000full advertise turned off, but it is still happening. |

I had this happen once too.. I updated the software and firmware after it happened.. I still have it fail on one port connected to a rocket 2m where it starts to only work at 10/half. |

what code level?
i personally don't recommend anything over 6.7 at this point due to all the bugs in newer versions
my 2011 is rock solid on this version |

I have only the old models, the 2011 was slightly redesigned a while ago, I don't have any of the "new" ones, not sure again if it makes any difference. |

mine is the newer version |

I don't want to speak too soon, but the issue I had with the rocket M2 losing ethernet connectivity to a 2011L (still after replacing the cable and the rocket M2 first), I removed the advertising for 1000 half and full, as I read somewhere, and the issue which was pretty easily reproducible has not come back yet. |

i wonder why they had the hardware change, may have something to do with it |

Mine is the 2011iL. I changed the power supply out yesterday, so far so good... |

Running an RB2011iLS right now at a strip mall as a fiber router for tenants there. Not heavy traffic wise, but it is handling traffic shaping per port. So far so good after 36 days of up time. Running what came on it stock, the ripe old version of 6.1 |

Dropped all interfaces again last night at 2:30. Power cycle fixed it (again).
Wow. This is starting to get really fun. |

Wow. This is starting to get really fun. Ive only had this issue on one particular 2011. Others I have are days and days uptime. Running MPLS, OSPF. 5-6 interfaces in use. |
