24V to 48V DC/POE converter - AirFiber

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience trying to DC-DC upconvert 24V to 48V?

Here's my issue:

We are currently based on 24V power plants everywhere. Using 2 X 12 Batteries connected to the Digital Loggers WISP PoE switch units. Soon we will be starting to deploy AirFiber units. Of course, they use 48V power supplies instead of 24V.

I'd like to be able to integrate them into our existing DC grid as natively as possible without having to resort to inverters to 110V and going back down to 24V. In an absolute perfect world, I'd love to see something that can do this in-line so that I could still attach the AF units to the 24V ports on the DLI switch. (Even if it's only for a power takeoff and not data. This way I can still control the port).

Are there any kind of products out there that can do this already? (I would rather like to avoid having to pull out the soldering iron, and build custom power supplies/rigs)

Also, does anyone have info on the Ubnt power supplies used for the AirFiber? Does it have any kind of DC inputs or are they straight 110V like the other Ubnt PoEs? Does anyone know of a PoE injector that is compatible with AirFiber that accepts direct DC inputs?

Thanks for any help as always

I read that as 56 volts? Does the AF take that range?

The document indicates that it is designed for AirFiber...

"...designed especially for Ubiquiti airFiber™ antenna systems..."

I was wondering the exact same thing lol.

I'll have to check the AF specs.

That one works. I have a few deployed (including a couple for 1+ years). Note they feel quite warm to the touch.
