Same here. Already received an alert this morning that the city is opening facilities for people trying to escape the heat Since normally our weather is mild/moderate all year round many homes do not have air conditioning. As long as it cools down at night I'm fine and the forecast promises lower temperatures for the weekend. Stay cool! |

We had a little over 90F on Monday and low 60s today. 40 this morning. The trees are confused trying to get their leaves. Very odd spring in the northeast! |

The leaves 'n fleurs are so thick this year I can't see anything beyond my yard! Been that way for over a month. I have to check in here now and then to assure myself y'all are still out there somewhere! |

Rain, rain, and more rain. Ugh. The grass will be 2 feet tall by the time it dries out enough to cut it again. I lost Manny and Dusty in the grass today.

Here in Cory-land the leaves still aren't yet established on trees. We're just now finally finishing winter, in fact, it has snowed this late in the year before, so I understand. El Nino is supposed to be back, so you folks in Cali may suffer a continued drought and major heat this year, I'm really worried about all of you out west. I'm hoping a miracle rain storm hits you somehow before mid summer.
I'll never forget my years living out there in the Bay Area. It can get pretty hot at times, and can even get cold, not too often, but it does happen. I remember yearning for AC, but my condo's windows were designed such that no AC unit could be put in them.
We really need to find a way to make use of such warmth for the good of the planet! |
