ESET is not releasing this via internal update or PCU as described below.

Looks like I'm having a problem with a non responsive GUI after this update. Running the latest up to date version of Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. Specifically navigating from Home -> Computer scan. This freeze will occur for about 2 minutes if I open ESET GUI and attempt to click on Computer scan. Any other item from within the ESET GUI will work just fine. If I click on Computer scan it will freeze the ESET GUI for 2 minutes and then release it and continues to function normally afterwards. It will not happen again until the next system reboot.

Something to watch out for if installing on top of this version using the "offline installer"
If necessary I will perform a full re-install on this product version to see if it clears things up. If not, I will ask for assistance from ESET.

You could export your settings:
»kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=co···SOLN3133

And do a clean re-install. This assumes you're sure your current configuration is not amiss.

I've never had issues with the "offline" installer.
This would be the first time I read of an issue with bugs surfacing post use of that method. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the link and will keep this thread updated.
I just don't have the time to do all those steps as I need my computer up right now. Everything else is fully functional and I'm curious to see if anyone else reports it. I'm monitoring the forums... so if not... it's probably just a bug on my end which I will remedy later.

Running Win7 Pro x64. I couldn't duplicate your problem. Runs fine here.

Thanks!
Hmmm... happy to report that the issue has corrected itself without any real effort on my part. I rebooted 3 times yesterday after the update and each time the bug was present. After the fourth time it's done and gone.

Well this is a mickey mouse setup..........my trial period is up soon so they make the GUI disappear and put this in it's place.

Do they actually expect that users will be forced to update because of this childish crap?

Join the club. I am already fuming over a License is expiring fiasco.

The license is for 3 computers which makes it worse.

They started warning me 13 days in advance and every time I boot up.

I will not look for another antivirus program but I can still cry and whine.

I don't care how good they think their software is..........I'm really getting tired of these idiot companies.

I had a problem with the avast! people and I walked away from 6 licenses.

On June 6 I will activate the next license. Been sitting on it for a looooong time.

PS ZZZZZZZ it is very good software. Too good to give up on.

You might want to pass along a comment to ESET Forum thread:

Stating that you would like to see the renewal nag prompt less often or perhaps presented in a different fashion.
