Re: VMedia Review: Comparison to Rogers

I'm finally back to 50Mbps speeds!

VMedia and Bell have finally come to a solution and have implemented it. Matthew called me today confirming as such and implied that they've been reaching out to people for the past hour or so and things are looking good but they'll continue monitoring.

The technical details (that I forgot to post) were:
quote:
The problem originates from recent Alcatel hardware upgrades, which is causing congestion when connections (alcatel + stinger) are then routed to us.
So from what I gather, this was impacting (all?) DSL customers in Bell-serviced areas.

Thankfully VMedia did credit me for Internet service this month, so I stuck around. If this month of July remains stable, maybe I'll keep it. We shall see...

If they were from among the posts which got moved and hidden, they may or may not all be of a continuous sequence from the same position in the thread as the post which says so.

Some could be from scattered earlier in the thread, with no other mark to indicate from where.

Moved posts etc.

Perhaps they were moved because someone posted the contents of an IM.

That definite no no on these forums.
