Is Cable High Speed 30/5/250GB also on sale? I see the same $29.95 sale price THE FIRST TIME I enter that page.

If I move the capacity bar to 1000GB, and then back to 250GB, I then see a different price of $44.95 for 30/5/250GB.

Great 6-month deal on 30/5/1000GB!

I like your 60\10 plan (1TB), really do.

I wish there was more Ontario Cable customers, so, i could hear some more feedback.

Interesting... is the 2am-2pm free period sorted out?
I couldn't get a definitive answer in the forum.

Very competitive offer I have to admit.... tempting - but how's the speed at peak time in ONTARIO?
I got majorly burned with CIKTel so I've learned to solicit feedback first.

I can't speak to the Ontario Cable but the Ontario DSL is top notch speed wise.

Also, in an effort to be transport they post their monthly bandwidth capacity.

It's in french but you should be able to get the gist of it; »Upgrade 1ier Juin 2014

Those are the June numbers.

If you have a problem, I would be surprised with something ebox related and you would likely have it with any other provider.

diskace...

IF a person were to try the 30/5/1TB special for 6 months, and THEN downgrade to 10/1/100GB, what fees would be charged to do that downgrade?

This would not just be a capacity change (monthly usage change), but would be a plan profile change (speed change), which I assume would have to go thru Rogers.

Is this type of info on the website somewhere? (English/Ontario)

Thx!

Good day,
For such a modification, there would be no fees. You would have to contact us before the 6th of any month in order for the plan modification to be effective on the following month.
Regards.

Not until we hit 3 Gig of CBB so we can upgrade the Aggregated link to 10 Gig instead of bonded GigE. The backhaul is ready for 10 Gig so work involved is easier.

150 Mbits service create massive spikes in traffic so we need to grow bigger before otherwise if we sell it, quality might not be 100% at peak.

These new package prices look good.

Could you confirm if I am in downtown Toronto, Bloor POI area, where will my traffic be routed through before it leaves your facilities? 151 Front in Toronto?

It's flowing through 855 york mills -> 1250 RL @ MTL for BGP processing -> Internet/Internet exchange

Expect around 8ms roundtrip of internal routing.

Hmm... that means growth of 10x your current capacity from Rogers...

Correct. It all depends how fast we grow.

On a side note the problems reported with the website for the capacity slider were fixed this morning and the 350 GB option was fixed as well.

Does cable also have the unlimited between 2am and 2pm? If so, I think I found myself a new ISP

I don't think it was going to be unlimited between those hours though, it was something like if you use under xx GB during peak you save 5$, though that could still change

IIRC the original idea was unlimited 2am to 2pm (like with DSL). It soon became apparent that Ebox would need to charge $5/month for it to be sustainable. The using less than xxGB on peak was just a way for customers to offset the $5 cost of unlimited off peak.

None of this is set in stone so now we just wait and see what they end up doing
