[AK] ACS 15 mbps down, but what's the up?

Hello,

My name's Steve and I registered an account here to ask other Alaskans about ACS' new home internet service - is it a 1mbps upstream bandwidth, or is it something slightly faster - say 1.5 or 2.0 mbps?

I'm curious because I do stream on twitch.tv and I had to downscale the resolution quite a bunch so it won't be a pixelated assault on my stream viewers. With 2.0 mbps I could do a beautiful 960x540p stream, with 1.5 mbps I could do a great quality 480p stream.

Posting this because it's Sunday, ACS' CS desk is closed until the work week.

Thanks for any replies, and hello from Fairbanks.

-Steve

I did contact ACS and apparently it's the same 1mbps upload as the line all the way down to 3 mbps.

Darn.

Wow, 15/1 is pushing the usability envelope.
You'll need to be very careful about using the upstream to avoid having download problems.
Is that cable? DSL? wireless based?

ACS = DSL, and I was really hoping for a bit more upload bandwidth for the new tier they've just introduced.
