I've never had a problem streaming Netflix, Amazon, HBOGo, Youtube, Vevo, etc. outside of those guys barfing on their service but in the last week buffering is noticeably faster and so is adaptation not just for Netflix. I would chalk this up to Netflix getting preferred transit and this freeing up a crapload of congestion on the other guys.
So to me, it was obvious it was the transit points because all of my streaming across the board has gotten better in the last few weeks.
It would have been much easier to host intraCDN but it's obvious that Verizon's attempt to blackmail Netflix worked. Cha Ching! |
