Re: St. Louis 30Mb to 100Mb

So in St. Louis are they not going to have any speed tiers and just have 100 MBPS only? If so just curious as to the cost of that?

I think Charter needs to have more lower speed tiers for a low price. Maybe something like 15 MBPS for $25? or 30 MBPS for $30?

Rebooted modem. Download speed went from 33 to 43. Upload speed went from 4.3 to 3.1. Nice! Gave up 1 Mb of upload. Any else around Godfrey or Alton area could comment about their internet service.

Believe it or not, the bandwidth is the cheapest part of the service. $30/mo doesn't cover the cost to maintain the copper plant and labor which is why they don't compete with DSL any longer. Quite frankly that's why DSL is so high so even though Charter isn't exactly cheap, it is certainly a better value than the alternative, and cheaper than many competitors in other markets.

Be glad you can get 60Mbps for $55 (or now 100 if in the STL market).
