said by Alpha Phoenix:Did I see that correctly??? Was Bumi airbending at 0:38?! Looks that way to me (good eye for pointing that out BTW) How is this for a theory,..... In The Legend of Korra: Book 1 they explored the notion of Bending being taken away from Benders. Perhaps the storyline in Book 3 explore the possibility of Bending abilities being given to those that inherently cannot. That might explain the appearance of all those Air Benders earlier in the trailer, presumably students of Tenzin,.... Hows this for another theory,... Perhaps Bumi was getting under Tenzin's skin (as brother often do) and Tenzin attacked but thought better of it at the last second. Thus Bumi's hands were just out in a defensive movie. Or,... Maybe Bumi was trying to bend and Tenzin was just messing with him,... |

I was so disappointed with how season 2 ended that I'm not sure if I'm that excited for season 3 |

said by Tenar:I was so disappointed with how season 2 ended that I'm not sure if I'm that excited for season 3 I kind of agree, and kind of disagree. I didn't like that her link to all the previous Avatars is indefinetely gone. I do think that the season 1 finale was awesome though! |
|
|
Basicly I just disagree ,......
I think there were a lot of great things about the last season. Learning about "Wan" the first Avatar was a great viewing experance. How benders came to be,..and so on. Good stuff,....
As for the lost connection of Korra and the past Avatars, that was basically the last bit of the last episode of the season and there is no hard proof that this will never change,.....at least not yet. |

I was wrong,..... I guess my guide was indexing or something. That would explain why Korra didn't show up during the first search. Series recording is setup and I'm good to go. Can hardly wait |

Pretty good episodes. I don't know why Korra just doesn't go into super powered Avatar mode like Aang did in the final episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and scare the shyt outta the Earth Queen, and the President of Republic City, and put them in their places. What do you think the deal is with those criminals who are after Korra? |

Does she still have the Avatar state since her connection to all the past lives has been severed? |
|
|
Yes. The connection is separate from the Avatar state. |

This season is pretty good so far. I'm enjoying it more than I did the beginning of season 2.
Tenzin really needs to lighten up. He's always got a stick up his ass. |

Yeah, some interesting villains this season. I didn't realize until I read an article that Anne Heche is the voice of the adult Suyin, Lin's half-sister. |
|
|
Really? Wow! I didn't know that! What's up witih the chick with the tattoo of an eye in the center of her forhead. What exactly is her ability? I can't really tell. And the criminal who is the water bender, does she not have arms, and instead uses water as her arms??? |

It was interesting to see how Lin Beifong got her scar,.... It was great to see Toph as an adult but like Aang as an adult it was a little disappointing. Korra the first Avatar that can metal bend,.....cool stuff,.... Now I would like to see Korra learn how to shoot a bolt of fire out of the center of her head,....preferably without the weird eye tattoo on her head,.... |
|
|
I also want to see her learn how to bend/shoot lightning. She still needs that as well. |

Remember the hit man that Zuko hired to find and kill Aang? Sokka nicknamed him "Combustion Man." That tattoo is essentially a "third eye" from which they can shoot some major fire bombs. |

Add Blood bending to the list,....unless Korra has already done this,... I think because of moral and ethical reasons, she would not learn Blood Bending. She is the Avatar. Her duty is to bring balance between the Spirit and Human worlds, not to control man. |

Sorry, don't know that one. I didn't catch a lot of episode of The Last Airbender because it was neve ron at a consistent time. I just caught it whenever I happened to be flipping through the channels and saw it was on. I did however happen to fortunately catch a lot of the final season one day when they were running a marathon of the final season. Epic final episode! So how exactly can they shoot fire bombs from a tattoo??? |

Add Blood bending to the list,....unless Korra has already done this,... I think because of moral and ethical reasons, she would not learn Blood Bending. She is the Avatar. Her duty is to bring balance between the Spirit and Human worlds, not to control man. I hear what you are saying and I don't totally disagree with you. However, I don't necessarily see what would be so unethical or immoral about such a practice outside of the fact that only villains have used it thus far. The same can be said about the bolt of fire from the head / third eye. When the series started with "Avatar the last Air bender" I also sort of thought of fire benders as evil since they tended to clearly be against Aang and the other nations (starting War via the Fire-Lord and so on). That way of thinking has changed though,... Honestly I don't think of any specific bending technique as evil or wrong. Its why someone is bending that puts an ethical spin on it. |
