Verizon FiOS → Digital Voice - Voicemail down?

Does anyone know if voicemail is down in the NJ area? I dialed the normal VM access number and instead of going into my mailbox it asked me to enter my phone number. After doing that it says my phone number is invalid.

Thats either an outage or there is no voicemail box built. When was the last time you checked your vm. Any recent changes to your account
