Re: [Cable] Cable downed in Montreal?

said by Packet Loss:

It just died this morning at 4:45am I think.

That's weird.
It is down for me too (west island) and my router said that the connection up time matches the time you said it went down. That means my cable modem reset at 4:46AM and reinitiated the WAN connection to my router.

Odd thing is, the router can get a WAN IP even after rebooting it, but the internet still doesn't work.

I also rebooted the cable modem, it got back "online" and gave my router the same IP. However, still no internet.

No need anymore. As I was painfully writing a direct support thread on my cellphone, I noticed that MS Outlook (On my desktop) started receiving emails.

It was an odd, but short, down time.

I guess somebody on Videotron's infrastructure was doing maintenance and didn't expect people to wake up at 5AM

Thanks for the update.

Glad to hear things are coming back online. Hopefully it was just a brief maintenance

If it does go down again, please let us know!

Chris.
