Max Turbo Speed Bump Again! :D 29/5I saw my Netgear Genie reporting odd speeds today and then I ran a speedtest... I turned off all of my TVs 
Seems like the other thread with the Max guy sprinkled some magic dust my way :P.
With one TV running SD on, I get 28.33 with the 32 Mbps profile. Probably more over provisioning.

I think the base profile of 32/5 for the "new" Max Turbo is supposed to provide 30/5 for data instead of the old 24/5. It has just taken them 9 months to actually start rolling out this profile change. It's about time. |

Max Plus, No TV It is interesting to note that ever since I replaced my Apple Airport Extreme. My ping rate has decreased and my bandwidth increased. It was a newer unit too. Not the newest but the one before.

Is that me you mentioned OP? So far after 4 months of this "glitch" in my service, Im still getting 30mbps on my Max Plus 18mbps plan. Upload speed is still on the Max Plus rate. I only have internet and phone from uverse.

My Max Plus 18mbps plan got an up in download and a downgrade in upload (according to SamKnows).
Plan 18/1.5
was 21.5/1.9
now 22.9/1.8 |

More like  , I had U-verse but TWC put the big boy pants on in Los Angeles and upgraded the speeds, I was forced to switch. If at&t gets their act together and upgrades their speed tiers, I'll switch back in a heart beat. |

Damn, and all this time I thought with ftth you'll get single digit pings. Right now at&t has a promotion, business line for a whole year 45mbps/6mbps first three months $47 after that $95. |

I'm on FTTH and i get around 14ms Pings. Higest i've seen is 16. I did get 9ms once. The biggest advantage of it is you can have all 4 tv's running HD and still get your 25mb internet. Downside is your limited to the 24mb package for now.
Good to know that other FTTH users are getting this 29mb speed boost. Hopefully i'll see it soon! |

It depends where I test from...I tend to get a lower ping if I test from Chicago.
