[Connectivity] Suddenlink internet drops for a few hours EVERYDAY...

My problem is similar to the previous thread, but my internet drops for several hours everyday. Then it comes back up by itself without me resetting the modem or changing the wires. The suddenlink tech will come on Wednesday to diagnose the problem. I have a Cisco DPC3010 cable modem and use a Linksys Wireless Router. This problem has been going on for the past two weeks, and I have had the same internet/modem/router for the past 10 months. I don't know what's going on.

I have been tracking the connectivity using the simple Internet Connectivity Monitor program. Two weeks ago, the internet connection was like this:

7:00 OK
8:00 OK
9:00 OK
10:00 OK
11:00 OK
12:00 OK
13:00 NOT CONNECTED
14:00 NOT CONNECTED
15:00 NOT CONNECTED
16:00 NOT CONNECTED
17:00 NOT CONNECTED
18:00 OK
19:00 OK
20:00 OK
21:00 OK

Yesterday, the connection was really bad, as it was out for almost the entire day:

SUNDAY 17:00 NOT CONNECTED
18:00 NOT CONNECTED
19:00 NOT CONNECTED
20:00 OK
21:00 OK
22:00 OK
MONDAY 6:00 NOT CONNECTED
7:00 NOT CONNECTED
8:00 NOT CONNECTED
9:00 NOT CONNECTED
10:00 NOT CONNECTED
11:00 NOT CONNECTED
12:00 NOT CONNECTED
13:00 NOT CONNECTED
14:00 NOT CONNECTED
15:00 NOT CONNECTED
16:00 NOT CONNECTED
17:00 NOT CONNECTED
18:00 NOT CONNECTED
19:00 NOT CONNECTED
20:00 OK
21:00 OK
22:00 OK
23:00 OK

What could the problem be?! I hope it's not the modem, because if it is, I will have to pay the $40 fee for the tech.

Please PM me your cable modem's MAC address (listed on the modem) and your current public IP (»whatismyip.com) and I will look into this for you.

It would also be very helpful if you downloaded and installed PingPlotter Pro (free trial) and keep it running to a site/server you are able to replicate the problem to. After you see the problem show up in PP, you can then click "file, save sample set" and attach it to this thread.

That PingPlotter looks clean since hop 12, the destination of the trace, shows no packet-loss. If the destination does not show packet-loss then none of the subsequent hops that show packet-loss matter.
