Pick OneI am interested in one of the following:
Samsung-Galaxy Tab4-10.0-16GB $329
Ipad Mini With Retina Display-Wi-Fi-16GB -7.9' $379
Amazon-Kindle Fire HDX-8.9'-16GB $379
I am mainly interested in having it for checking email and some browsing when I am not at my normal pc.
Has anybody had some real world experience with any of these. |

(I have an iPad Air after owning an iPad2 and iPad 4 and love it but I'm rather heavily invested in the iOS ecosystem. I would probably pick in the order you listed above if I were starting fresh and given what you'll be using it for.) |

16 GB might not be enough. Some tablets accept micro SD cards (Android devices). |

Should be for just email and web browsing. |

Do you have any investment in either the Android or Apple ecosystems?
I've got both an iPad gen 2 and Kindle Fire HDX.
The Kindle can't use the Google Play store without rooting or an elaborate work around so you're stuck with the Amazon store. The Amazon store does have a free app a day.
The Galaxy should be able to use both stores, Amazon and Google Play.
Any Apple device is limited to the Apple store unless you root it.
I'd probably recommend the Galaxy out of the group as it has the largest screen and the greater number of application stores available. Especially if you won't be taking advantage of the Prime video from the Fire.
I don't think a 7.9" screen would be very useful for e-mail. The 8.9" of the Fire was fine for me, but I used the iPad as that is where my mail accounts were set up. |

Pretty well have everything set up in just two days. Finally found a user manual online and it made things a lot easier.
The Belkin router I bought set up a main account and a guest account. Finally figured out how to disable the guest account. It made me a little nervous being unsecured even though I had my neighbor try to access it and he couldn't.
Got my 32GB micro sd card installed today. Found one on sale for $29.
Now if I could just get the default email to show the Bcc: line I will be almost happy. |

Loving the Tab but wondering if signing up for all the Google stuff is a positive or negative. |

My one little piece of advice for a tablet is consider everything on it open to the world. Read through some of the permissions you have to give for an app to function properly. I keep no private info on mine. |

I have been real careful when downloading. I do not do any of my financial transactions on it.
Will any of the programs like MBAM work on it? |
