Planting is doneI'm behind schedule. But I got my planting done. Note: my furry helper! |

Flowers were done on Mother's Day. Veg has been a work in progress since April. Bunnies are eating my sprouts! I cobbled together some fencing that seems to be working. I still need a pepper. |

I fixed a picnic bench too. The legs were rotting. Super-Sized it! If a 2.5" x 1.5" is good, 3.5" x 1.5" is better, if 35° is good, 54° is better, if 1/4-20 is good, 5/16-18 is better!!! It looks a bit out of place but will not tip over now. |

DK has great plantings! I got my pepper, a Cubaelle from Matt's Organic Garden in Dennis, MA. I caged it early as last year's plant got blowed apart. Some flowers too. I don't know much about them. |

Stupid hurricane... I put the pepper out of the wind, last year my pepper was broken by wind. Update: 2.5 inches of rain, 30 mph winds, nothing more than a few twigs dropped. And leaves. Never forget the leaves. |

Woo Hoo!!! First pepper of the season! I'll probably stuff it and grill it tomorrow. Tomatoes are doing well, none ripe yet. Squash are doing well also, a few small units. |

Wicked windy yesterday. My most prolific summer squash plant was killed. Dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit!!! It survived Bunnies and bugs.Dammit! I planted 4 more seeds.
Tomatoes are doing well, none ripe yet. Basil and Oregano failed. Cilantro and Chives are good.
I can't be the only person here with a friggin' gahdin!
Come on! Posts and pix!!! |

You are nor alone!!
I have Tomatoes, Butternut Squash and Bell Peppers all doing well. I have a few ripe peppers, but the Tomatoes are a week or so away.
Fighting a battle with leaf disease with the Tomatoes. Will be battling Chipmunks when the Tomatoes are ripe. |

First tomato! (photo looks strange) Zuch and summer squash are doing well. |

Your Tomato leaf looks a whole lot healthier than mine. I have a good first crop coming but the plant won't support much of a second crop because of minimal healthy leaves. |

No leaf blight this year. A few seasons ago most of Cape Cod was wiped out. I've been spraying for squash borers, the little bastards seem to find me every year. I've got some blossom rot due to water difficulties.
But REAL tomatoes! Flavor! |

A day off bonanza! Peppers are doing great, I had one branch break because I was waiting too long for big units and it got too heavy. I'm hoping for a late freeze. Tomatoes have been providing well. One plant has a 'blossom end rot' problem. Not sure if it's just water or soil conditions. Still. Real Tomatoes! Squash has been less than spectacular. |

My neighbor gave me a bunch of their tomatoes and they are so good. They also gave me some real eggs as well from their chickens.
I have nice neighbors. |

I've been procuring tomatoes from my neighbor's garden. I hope she doesn't find out. |

Killer Pepper! | Bolted Lettuce |
Tomatoes are still producing but near the end. Squash is dead. I didn't pay enough attention to the Leaf Garden (stupid motel). Spinach got bunnied, lettuce was good for a while but I didn't re-plant. Bolted. Compost soon. Pepper is still kicking ass! I picked 6 2 days ago. I'm going to make an effort to keep it alive after the frosts arrive. Matt's in Dennis is THE source for peppers on Cape Cod! |

Wik-ked frig-gin windy! ~40 mph from my less-than-reliable Weather Station. Tipped over my pepper plant. I brought it into the garage. Tomatoes are dead. I got some ripe last week, some green to bread and fry. Frig-gin Snowflakes! when I braved the elements to get the paper. Some branches down, power has blinked twice. Mums are still blooming. I'll get a photo when it's nice out. |

Damn capecoddah, that's crazy stuff. People are kinda in shock down here around DFW because they woke up to mid 40's for the low. I went out in shorts and a t-shirt. My blood hasn't thinned back out yet after living 22 years up there. |

When I lived in South Florida, I had the same thing happen. People at the Bus Station bundled up when it was 40°-50°. I tried not to be a jerk about it but I guess I was. When I bought the snow from the Xmas Tree truck I definitely was. I lived on a boat in a strange neighborhood. At the end of the street was a payphone next to a swimming pool. When it snowed in NE, I'd call friends in NE collect "Hey listen to this" and jump in the pool. OK, I was a jerk. |

It's nice out today! I set the pepper back out. Mums are still Mumming! Tomatoes are done. I'll put them in the dump's compost heap. I don't put them in my heap because I don't want to have the same problems next year. I have some soil work to do next year. Hold onto your hats, I'm getting ready to bitch about leaves. |

I spy a red tomato on one of your plants. |
