[IL] Upgraded to new 100/10 Ultra, but seeing nowhere near those speed.

I had 20/2 and generally could get above that most of the time. In the last few days since upgrading I'm seeing ~5 upload and once or twice got near 50 download; but mostly seeing 5-15 download speeds.

Also my online bill says Ultra 50, I called in last night and was told I would be re-provisioned to the current Ultra 100. However the speed tests don't seem to reflect this.

Do you have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem? Scratch that, I'm an idiot.

No problem, it's an obvious first question. To confirm, yes I have a 4 channel DOCSIS 3.0 modem.

Just got 1.93 down and 5.83 up on speedtest.net with my computer connected directly to the modem.....not good, especially for 11:30 at night.

Those downstream power levels look out of wack. Any splitters before the modem?

There are splitters, but I have and amplifier too. At + 7dBmV, the power levels are great per the FAQ section:

What should my Signal Levels be?
Downstream (Rx) Receive Power Level:
This is the amount of signal received by the modem from the transmitter in the cable company head-end.
For all modems:

-7 dBmV to +7 dBmV "Recommended"
-8 dBmV to -10 dBmV / +8 dBmV to +10 dBmV - "Acceptable"
-11 dBmV to -15 dBmV / +11 dBmV to +15 dBmV - "Maximum"
Lower than -15 dBmV & Higher than +15 dBmV - "Out Of Spec."

Anyway, I'm now getting 50/5 without any HW or cabling changes. Now just to get the modem/traffic shaping provisioned correctly.

Hi Pete_S4 See Profile, send me a PM with your telephone# or MAC address and I can take a look over everything and see what is going on. This could be a provisioning issue but I can check everything to make sure all should be good.

I sent both MACs via PM. Speed test is down to 6.29 download again. Modem is still on 256 QAM modulation and all channels at +6 or 7 dB.
