maps - on iPhone - which can save coordinates?

I am going up a mountain

and I need to mark my way

so I found
quote:
two temples (S8.28567 E115.41969 and S8.28396 E115.42361) on your way up the forest and there is also a temple on the summit (S8.28027 E115.42960)
- »www.westcoastpeaks.com/P ··· ang.html

can you please try and see if your favorite map can mark (to save / reference these coordinates) a way point like

like
S8.28567 E115.41969
and then
S8.28027 E115.42960

leads to same point?

can you book mark it/star it? in what map app?

in google maps can't star it :/

thank you ..

PS - any one can recommend a map / hiking / trekking application to use for such hikes ..

Yes you can on Google maps. From the home screen, on the top right corner, click on the person icon. On that screen, scroll down and you will see all the previous locations you've a used Google for (on a computer or on a phone, assuming you were logged into Google when on the computer).

Below that is a section for Offline maps.

I can highly recommend the app MotionX-Gps ($ 0.99 app). I use it for hiking all the time. If I can find GPS tracks in advance of my hike, I download the track and the corresponding map tiles, so I can view where I am without using data. You can mark waypoints on the go, but I think you can also add them prior to your hike.
