I agree with you it seems inept but for an inept company they are making a hell of a lot of money. Now if the numbers below are right the customers that threaten and even fewer that leave are being replaced at a much faster rate than they are leaving. This also explains why new customers get a better deal (so that they can increase by 124,000 to 6.8 million total customers.) I am not a champion of Comcast by any means. It pisses me off that I pay close to $300 a month and get told to piss up a rope by customer service at least twice a month. But it is either Comcast 57/11 or 20/5 DSL (reality is probably 5-7/256k) with century link and since I got hit with the CL Cap in march of '13 and disconnected they are an option I wont even consider.

Yep all that and a typical cable company only makes 8 dollars a month per sub on the video side. All the profit comes from the internet and phone side. Thats a lot of customers at 8 bucks per.
