More protection for incumbent businesses

The SCOTUS ruling against Aereo follows the pattern of city and state governments going after Uber/Lyft as a favor to the established taxi companies and AirBNB as a favor to the hotel industry. Also, in Nashville, TN a woman was forced to remove a home-based salon business from her home by the city after the established salons complained about her business. And don't even try to sell homemade food anywhere!

We claim to believe in the "free market" as a nation, yet consistently practice the opposite by requiring startups and entrepreneurs to buy costly permits and licenses at the behest of the established businesses, who don't want to have to compete fairly in a free market. If we really cared about a free market, there would be no permits or permission required and anyone would be able to run a home or Net based business without having to worry about getting a cease-and-desist from some incumbent business that they're locking horns with.
