pie in the sky

the most powerful handsets today struggle to do 40 - 60mbits.. tripling that speed would KILL battery life to just under 2 hours of usage (similar to old style laptops). nevertheless, sprint will be charging a hefty block of cash.. don't think your going to get unlimited usage for $40 a month... it will probably even cost more then $70 a month where many unlimited (no or 'high' usage caps) service plans for data exist..

These speeds are where the max LTE 4 limits are, LTE 5 requires completely new antenna elements and will be problematic for deployment (so I keep reading). Also, many of these cell sites aren't provisioned with enough fiber to support all that much more bandwidth.

I don't see demand for this product yet.. at the prices they'd have to charge for the service.. that's why you could call it pie in the sky builds. Bragging rights against ATT and Verizon are for footprint supremecy (QOS at current speeds), not bandwidth in micro zones around limited amount of towers-- might as well go on wifi it's closer to "FREE"
