[DSL] SpeedTouch 516

What Teksavvy DSL packages does the ST 516 support? I am selling mine as I am upgrading to smartRG, and want to list the packages it supports on the ad.
Thanks.

I use something similar to this modem and it will support all the way to the 15/1 ADSL2+ tier if I am not mistaken. This link has some information on the modem itself and what it can do.

I used mine on 19455/1085 profile when it was offered on ADSL2+.

Yup, this modem works on every package up to the highest ADSL2+ one: 15/1. It is not a VDSL modem so it will not work on 15/10 or higher packages. For a full list of packages it will/will not work on check it:

Works with:
High Speed DSL 6 (Up to 6 Mbps Down / 800 Kbps Up)
High Speed DSL 7 (Up to 7 Mbps Down / 1 Mbps Up)
High Speed DSL 10 (Up to 10 Mbps Down / 1 Mbps Up)
High Speed DSL 15 (Up to 15 Mbps Down / 1 Mbps Up)

Does not work with:
High Speed DSL 15/10 (Up to 15 Mbps Down / 10 Mbps Up)
High Speed DSL 25 (Up to 25 Mbps Down / 10 Mbps Up)
High Speed DSL 50 (Up to 50 Mbps Down / 10 Mbps Up)

This information only applies to Ontario/Quebec as there are slightly different packages for BC/AB out west and NL/NB/NS/PEI out east.

zaptor, i'm curious what you're selling it for.

i just bought one off ebay for 22$ including shipping (it's coming from vancouver). i thought mine was giving up the ghost, but it seems ok now. i'll just keep it as a backup.

and on tsi's site, it says the 15/1 package has a 50$ 'activation fee'.

is that still true or is going to a higher speed free ?

One thing to note; ADSL modems can require different "VPI/VCI" settings depending on where you live. From... »TekSavvy FAQ

•Ontario/Quebec - VPI/VCI=0.35
•AB/BC - VPI/VCI=0.33

There is indeed an activation fee. For DSL, fees for changing speed can vary depending on what speed you're going to and from. As monthly bandwidth usage change has no cost to us, you can change your monthly bandwidth without any charges.
