Re: IPv6 Update (Open Beta)

Hello,

I'm a new Start client, and although when I ordered the service I inquired about IPv6 and was told it's not supported I was happy to find that it is.

I have a couple of questions though. I had a DD-WRT router that seems to have died on me (I haven't had the chance to check what happened to it yet) and with that one I was using a Tunnelbroker IPv6 setup (this before I found this post)

Anyway after it died I had to use an Airport Extreme as a router and was surprised to see that it automatically setup a 6to4 Tunnel.

I tried to get it to work with the 6rd information from this post but I'm missing an IPv6 Default Route to put in there, when following the instructions here (»pastebin.com/0HRTSxqV) it doesn't work. I'm using 7.6.4 Firmware Version.

Now on to my questions:

1 - Is it possible to have a statically assigned IPv6 address ?
Seems every time I get a new PPPoE connection I also get a new IPv6 prefix.

2 - Do you have any suggestions on how to get 6rd working with the Airport Extreme ?
I'm not sure if there are many advantages over the automatic 6to4 tunnel though.

3- Any plans for full native IPv6 support ?

Thanks
