Modem: Arris DG1670A FREAKIN AWESOME!!! The irony is, I'll be moving in a couple months or so, will have optimum at new locale. Results below |

update: I tested at 6pm and 2am and got the same local segment results, so
it would appear that TWC does not share my channels with too many others.

I'm using my own modem the Motorola SB6580 no issues speed wise, but I'm still having issues with the signal. |

Re: Official MAXX - I've Got it - ThreadBrooklyn NY Zip 11209 - got the notice about the speed bump on Tuesday, appears it happened sometime on Thursday (yesterday) as I came home to a Motorola SBG901 modem that would not get beyond a flashing Send light, despite troubleshooting. Was the same this morning so I took the hint it was time to upgrade to a new DOCSIS 3.0 one, picked up the Zoom 5352 on the way home tonight, set it up easily, and the speed bump to Extreme is as advertised. Wish TWC actually said in the notice that upgrading was mandatory now as 2.0 modems would stop working, rather than making me guess... Anyway, what a difference, especially noticeable on my Nexus 7 tablet and my One M8 phone. |

Upper West Side Manhattan, NYC 10024 Maxx is live SB6141 connected to Airport Extreme, test done over wifi. Picked the modem up today since I saw that 10025 was live and my single channel leased modem was bonded to ch. 16. Heading to TWC store now to drop off old modem and "downgrade" to Standard...saving me $16/mo while gaining 30mbps in the process.

Went live today in South Gate right on the border of Downey, 90280. Got a mailer advertising the increased speeds and sure enough my Turbo was running at 100/10. |

Same here, next city neighbor! I was using the Internet until 1:49 AM PDT before getting disconnected. I saw my cable modem's lights mostly off with a few blinkers. No digital phone service too. So, I assumed it was the Internet speed upgrade maintenance that I saw via the L.A. list for Brea. I went to shower, clean, etc. I came back at about 2:27 AM PDT, and it was back online. I did a download from YouTube and got faster speeds than I usually get. I guess my connection is using Brea's office.  Now, I need to wait for my order from TWC to swap cable modems (replacing the old Arris TM502G)! I hope TWC sends the correct one with digital phone's EMTA. |
