Smart LED light bulbs leaked wi-fi passwords

Context Security released details about how it was able to hack into the wi-fi network of one brand of network-enabled bulb, and control the lights remotely.

The LIFX light bulb, which is available to buy in the UK, has network connectivity to let people turn it on and off with their smartphones.

The firm behind the bulbs has since fixed the vulnerability....

My wife said she always knew there were dimbulbs so she was not surprised by the existence of smartbulbs.

Oh what fun! Im not kidding ither you know how much fun i would have with that. I mean come on the prank value is well priceless. I use to net print on my friends printer who was 13 hours ahead of me and it was a dot matrix printer....

The potential for fun with a hack-able led lighting system oooooh just priceless.
